Bellasta is already included in the Les Saisies pass, whereas Crest-Voland and the Val d'Arly sectors require Espace Diamant, so do not upgrade merely for Bellasta.

The view and location at Mont Lachat remain attractive, but the recent reports conflict sharply with the long-standing recommendation.

Do not trust Espace Diamant piste colours as precise difficulty indicators, especially Frêtes, Girolles and Perdrix.¹¹³⁰

Frêtes is repeatedly described as red-like despite its blue label, Girolles can become black-level when icy or bumped, while the broad groomed Perdrix black is often judged closer to a red.

Do not book Bisanne 1500 expecting a conventional resort village: treat it as a quiet ski base and go to Les Saisies for substantial shopping or evening activity.²⁷

Local residents describe only a bread depot and small convenience shop, with some residences also requiring a meaningful walk to those services.

Do not attempt Les Contamines as a casual ski-and-shuttle day from Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe; drive to Belleville instead if that area is the day's objective.²⁴

A local calculated that four Espace Diamant lifts already put arrival at Vorès near 10:00, followed by a piste, timed shuttle and two more lifts, with an equally fragile multi-stage return.

From Les Carrets, reach the Sommet de l'Espace Diamant by taking Légette, skiing to Brichou, then skiing to and riding Douce.²³

The long green passes Bergerie La Palette and quiet Nordic terrain but contains flat sections requiring skating, making it awkward for snowboarders.

On a first full-domain day, travel anti-clockwise and use the circuit as reconnaissance for which low sectors actually have good cover before returning for dedicated laps.¹³

A French regular recommends this direction through the flat Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe–Praz link because it surveys the domain without repeatedly returning through the same station.

When coverage is marginal, stay in the Les Saisies bowl and around the Sommet de l'Espace Diamant rather than committing to the valley-bottom runs at Praz, Flumet or Hauteluce.¹⁴

A January 2024 group found good snow at Les Saisies and the Sommet while lower lifts were closed and one nominally open Flumet link required taking skis off and walking.

Use Flumet's north-facing Les Seigneurs sector as the cold-snow refuge only when its low-altitude cover is complete.¹³
