This page explains how SkiAllDay collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app.

Last updated: March 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Niklas Weller ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the SkiAllDay mobile application (the "App").

1. Summary

SkiAllDay is a ski and snowboard navigation and tracking app. Depending on how you use the App, we may process:

  • precise location data to provide navigation, live map positioning, and ski-day recording;
  • account information such as your email address, Apple sign-in details, display name, and profile preferences;
  • tracking session data such as timestamps, GPS coordinates, altitude, speed, course, matched lifts and runs, and session statistics;
  • support request messages you send to us through the App; and
  • subscription status information made available through Apple's StoreKit framework.

You can use core parts of the App without creating an account. If you choose not to sign in, your session history is generally stored locally on your device unless and until you later choose to sync it with an account.

2. Information We Collect

A. Location and activity data

If you grant location permission, the App may collect precise location data, including while the App is in use and, during active recording, in the background. This data may include:

  • latitude and longitude;
  • timestamps;
  • altitude;
  • heading/course;
  • speed; and
  • horizontal and vertical accuracy values.

We use this data to:

  • show your position on the map;
  • record your ski or snowboard sessions;
  • match your movement to lifts, pistes, ski routes, and transitions;
  • calculate route guidance and session analytics; and
  • help you review coverage and unlock parts of a resort over time.

B. Account and profile information

If you create or use an account, we may collect and store:

  • your email address;
  • Sign in with Apple account information made available to us by Apple;
  • your display name;
  • favorite resort selections;
  • onboarding preferences, such as equipment type, goals, and skill level; and
  • your user/account identifier.

We use this information to authenticate you, personalize the App, save your preferences, and sync eligible data across devices.

C. Tracking session data

When you record a session, we may store:

  • session start and end times;
  • raw location points associated with the session;
  • matched runs, lifts, segments, and edge statistics;
  • total distance, duration, run count, average speed, max speed, vertical-related metrics, and similar ski-day statistics; and
  • resort identifiers and resort coverage progress.

This data is used to provide your history, analytics, resort coverage features, and account sync.

D. Subscription and purchase information

If you purchase or restore a subscription, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your full payment card information. Through StoreKit, we may receive limited subscription-related information such as:

  • product identifier;
  • purchase and original purchase dates;
  • expiration date; and
  • revocation or cancellation status.

We use this information to determine whether premium features should be available and, if you are signed in, to sync your subscription status to our backend profile record.

E. Support communications

If you submit a bug report, feature request, or other message through the App, we collect the content of your message and the related account identifier, if available.

We use this information to respond to your request and improve the App.

F. Device-side preferences and local data

The App stores certain information locally on your device, such as:

  • saved sessions and local tracking history;
  • pending uploads;
  • selected resort and pinned resorts;
  • language and routing preferences;
  • developer/debug overrides used in development builds; and
  • cached account session information needed to keep you signed in.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

  • directly from you, such as when you create an account, edit your profile, submit a support request, or purchase a subscription;
  • automatically from your device when you grant permissions and use the App's navigation and tracking features; and
  • from Apple when you use Sign in with Apple or make purchases through the App Store.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information and related app data to:

  • provide navigation, resort maps, and tracking features;
  • match recorded movement to ski lifts, slopes, and resort graph data;
  • generate ski-day summaries, analytics, and resort coverage progress;
  • sync sessions and profile data across devices when you sign in;
  • maintain your account and sign-in state;
  • process and honor subscription entitlements;
  • respond to support requests;
  • protect the security and integrity of the App; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

5. When We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the App or comply with law.

A. Service providers and platform providers

We currently rely on the following third parties visible in the current version of the App:

  • Apple for Sign in with Apple, App Store billing, and StoreKit subscription status;
  • Supabase for account authentication, profile storage, support requests, and cloud syncing of account-linked session and tracking data;
  • MapTiler and OpenStreetMap contributors to display map data.

These providers process data on our behalf or as independent service providers depending on the feature involved.

B. Legal and safety disclosures

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, legal process, or valid governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the App.

C. Business transfers

If our business is reorganized, sold, or involved in a merger or asset transfer, information covered by this Privacy Policy may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

6. Local Storage and Cloud Sync

If you use the App without signing in, your tracking history is primarily stored locally on your device.

If you sign in, the App may upload and sync account-linked data to our backend, including profile data, session summaries, matched segments, edge statistics, and raw tracking points associated with recorded sessions.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, maintain your account, support legitimate business operations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

In general:

  • local session history remains on your device until you delete it, remove the App, or clear the relevant data;
  • support requests are retained for as long as needed to review and respond to them;
  • account profile and synced tracking data are retained until you delete your account or we no longer need the data for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

When you delete your account, your personal identifying information is removed from our systems. However, we may retain your tracking data (such as session summaries, segment matches, and raw tracking points) in an anonymized format that can no longer be linked back to you. We retain this de-identified data for analytics, to improve the App, and to maintain the integrity of our resort statistics.

8. Your Choices and Controls

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information.

You can also use the following controls inside or outside the App:

  • Location permissions: You can revoke location access in your device settings. Some features will not work properly without location access.
  • Account sign-in: You can use parts of the App without creating an account.
  • Account deletion: If you created an account, you can initiate account deletion from within the App. We then process deletion of your account records in accordance with our systems and legal obligations.
  • Subscription management: Auto-renewable subscriptions are billed by Apple and can be managed or canceled through your Apple account settings.
  • Local data management: You can delete sessions within the App and remove the App from your device.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

If a different minimum age applies in your jurisdiction, or if the App is intended for a broader age range, update this section accordingly before publishing.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, depending on where our service providers operate. Where required, we take steps intended to protect personal information in accordance with applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by updating the date above, through the App, or by other appropriate means.
